"The European Commission on Wednesday unveiled plans to restrict the amount of CO2 that cars and vans can emit. Speaking in a press conference in Brussels, EU Climate Action Commissioner Connie Hedegaard confirmed that the average consumer car will not be able to emit more than 95 grams of CO2 per kilometer by 2020. This represents a 27 gram drop form the 130g CO2/km in 2015. The target for vans will be 130g/km. Hedegaard said that she is "completely sure" these targets can be achieved."
